Callum Robertson-Barnes- Te Tai o Poutini Kaiako

Born and raised in the picturesque Bay of Islands, Callum has formed an intimate relationship with the environment. Callum's background is in guiding adventure tourism. He is an avid surfer and this year he is training to lead the Māwhra Papa Taiao Conservation and Earthcare courses with his passionate and empathetic nature.

One of his core beliefs is having the beginner's mind which is limitless in it's thinking, open to all possibilities, eager to learn and naive in its willingness to go beyond its comfort zone and take on risk. He believes that it is only within this mindset we can solve the evolving ecological and social problems our future presents us. 

In his spare time he is establishing a a self sufficient plot on a small patch of land near Barrytown.
